Drill has taken over many countries since its emergence in Chicago in the early 2010s. By 2012, the city of London, and in particular the southern district of Brixton, had witnessed the emergence of a multitude of rappers claiming allegiance to this trend, which draws on road rap, garage and grime.
While the likes of 67, Abra Cadabra, Headie One and Karma have become benchmarks on this scene, female rappers often remain under the radar.
