Check out the 20 most listened French female rappers on YouTube and Spotify in 2022!
Every year, it’s the same thing. At Christmas time or at the beginning of January, music streaming platforms and specialized media publish the list of the most listened rap artists during the year.
Every year, it’s the same thing. No or few women in these rankings. And although the problem is regularly pointed out, nothing changes.
Because we’re tired of these all-male tops that suggest that female rappers don’t exist or are so insignificant that they don’t deserve to be mentioned, Madame Rap decided to pick March 8, International Women’s Rights Day, to publish a top of the 20 most listened French female rappers on YouTube and Spotify in 2022.
Here’s how we did it: from the 446 French female rappers listed on Madame Rap, we took a look at the artists who had released at least one track in 2022 on YouTube and Spotify and ranked them according to the track that had the highest number of views/streams.
