Ordinary sexism, power abuse, r*pe culture, sl*t-shaming and harassment have infected literature, cinema, arts, music, the media, advertising and popular culture for far too long.
Yet, it somehow seems easier to blame sexism on hip hop than to acknowledge that rap is no more sexist than any other artistic current or sector of society.
