Madame Talk x Le Lou

Posted on

Listen to our new Madame Talk with French trans rapper Le Lou!

Based in Strasbourg, trans rapper Le Lou discovered rap music a the age of 8. Raised in Forbach (Moselle), he grew up in a music-loving family with a father who worked as a sound engineer. In music school, he learned music theory, guitar and drums.

At 19, he started to listen to 1995 and L’Entourage and write his first rap rhymes in his bedroom. Encouraged by his friends, he decided to jump in.

In 2016, he joined La Bergerie, a rap, jazz and boom bap duo founded in Metz. When the project ended during the first lockdown, Le Lou decided to go solo and share his tracks on Instagram.

Even though he believes his music is still under construction, his universe mixes bangers and trippy-wavy instrumentals with introspective, festive and militant texts, supported by his voice and what he likes to call his “little insolence”.

The rapper told us about his passion for live performance, his transidentity, his queerness, and his first EP that will be released in March 22.
